Meet Robert J. Relle DDS

Robert J. Relle DDS

I'm pleased to have this opportunity to present my credentials and tell you about my work as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Even when I was very young I knew that I wanted to be a part of the healthcare profession. Dentistry was an obvious choice for me, with its combination of science and hands-on skills. I attended Purdue University in my home state of Indiana, and after three years obtained early acceptance to Indiana University School of Dentistry. While there, I became fascinated with the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery and specifically corrective jaw surgery. I moved to Southern California to complete my residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and soon decided to make it my home.

I have been practicing hospital-based oral and maxillofacial surgery within a large medical group since 1988. This has provided me with a vast surgical experience as well as an opportunity to establish close working relationships with many fine orthodontists in Southern California. In 2007 I realized a long-time goal to establish a private practice limited to corrective jaw surgery.
 
Staying current with all the latest information and innovations in my specialty is vitally important to me. I regularly attend continuing education courses through my professional affiliations. I also enjoy giving presentations to dental students, surgical residents, and professional groups. Recently, I was honored to be selected as an examination committee member for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

I live in the San Fernando Valley with my wife and daughter. In our free time, we like to enjoy many of the outdoor activities that Southern California has to offer.
